This image means much more to me than just a first encounter with nudity in front of the lens. It is a record of a moment that almost didn’t happen, accompanied by deep personal uncertainty.

I remember the unease. The model was afraid of the horse; it was her first contact with such a large animal in this role. I was struggling with my own barriers—photographing a nude for the first time, searching for the line between aesthetics and respect.

Just when everything seemed to align, I ran out of space on my memory card. I had to run to my bag by the road, and at that moment, I almost missed the shot. But that’s what photography is all about—having luck and being in the right place at the right time.

The result is this scene. The dynamic tension of a model seeking support in the calmness of an animal to whom our world was indifferent at that moment. It is a melancholic image born from pure discomfort. Today I know that when everything seems to turn against me, the best shots are born.

Special thanks to Kateřina Janišová for the guidance and to the model for her bravery and trust.
